CREATINE AND BLOATING, FAT BURNERS-DO THEY WORK? AND FITNESS FRIENDS

Creatine and the "bloat"

Creatine happens to be one of the most clinically studied supplements around. Countless athletes, bodybuilders and weekend warriors use creatine, and have found it gives them excellent results.

I also use creatine, and it works great for me. I find I can really lift heavy and work harder when using creatine....HOWEVER there is one thing about creatine that I feel I must warn people about, in particular the ladies; Creatine can make you bloat.

If you are going to be attending a special event such as a wedding, vacation to a tropical beach, or reunion, it is a good idea to cut out the creatine from your supplementation routine about three weeks out from your event. This will give your body the chance to expel any extra water weight that may be lingering about.

Don't let the "bloat factor" keep you from trying creatine out! Just use it wisely and in cycles, and who knows...your body may not react to creatine in this way! Do not use creatine if you have a family history of kidney disease, and PLEASE make sure you always follow the directions and heed the warnings on ANY supplement packaging! SAFTEY FIRST! And if you do not know what a particular ingredient is, research it! Check wikipedia.org or your favorite search engine. Another wonderful resource is your pharmacist!

FAT BURNERS-DO THEY REALLY WORK??

Ok my friends...this is a question that comes up quite often, so I will go ahead here and tell you about my experience with "fat burning" supplements.

There are dozens of companies out there marketing what is said to be "amazing results" and that if you use their product you will lose inches from your waistline. What they don't STRESS to the public is that the "test subjects" that lost all the extra body fat were in fact taking part in a rigorous exercise and nutrition program. That is why they lost all the "inches of fat"...not because they took some magic pill.

I found that "fat burning" supplements actually make me MORE HUNGRY, and most of the time these pills are nothing more than glorified caffeine.

I say, save your money and stick with green tea and black coffee. It does the same job, and I have found that when I consume green tea or coffee in between meals it curbs my appetite, and I do not have the desire to snack. If I am not in the mood for the caffeine, I just drink herbal tea. It fills the urge to put something to my mouth, during cutting phases. 

Of course this is my experience with said supplements. Your experience may be quite different. It is all about trial and error. BUT PLEASE, as I stated before, LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP! Learn about what is in the supplement! BE CAREFUL!

The best "fat burning" magic comes from eating right and good old fashioned muscle building work! Wink

When you have a friend along for the ride while taking part in a fitness training program, you will find that your "Work-outs" don't seem so much like work; but instead they are a whole bunch of fun!  You will find that you look forward to this time, and that you actually NEED it!
